Thanks Balakrishnan Sir and Sameer, my scroll mouse works fine now.
As you said, I added ' Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5" ' to the file
/etc/X11/XF86Config, but had to restart the OS than just the X Server to get
the wheel working. I couldn't figure it out. I thought the /etc/X11/XF86Config
file is read only when you start ( and restart ) the X Server. So why did I
have to restart the OS ?
Now the second ' Section "InputDevice" ' ( first is for keyboard ) in
/etc/X11/XF86Config has the following lines:
Option "Protocol" "IMPS/2"
Option "Device" "/dev/mouse"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
Anybody having a scroll mouse with scroll wheel not working, can try doing this
to get it right.
