Hello
It is always better to configure php , apache etc
seperately ( so that it will be a good experience )

However if you are quite new to all these , download
XAMPP ( both for win and of course for Debian , RH ,
Suse etc ) . That is a pack containing

Apache, MySQL, PHP + PEAR, Perl, mod_php, mod_perl,
mod_ssl, OpenSSL, phpMyAdmin, Webalizer, Mercury Mail
Transport System for Win32 and NetWare Systems v3.32,
JpGraph, FileZilla FTP Server, mcrypt, Turck MMCache,
SQLite, and WEB-DAV + mod_auth_mysql

All in a single file !!
That is freeware . You can find it at
http://www.apachefriends.org/en/

Regarding study material for php , go to www.php.net ,
download the manual . PHP manual is the best resource
, it has lot of examples and very very easy to study .
Also if there is internet connection , you will never
need any php book as lot info on php is available in
net ( remember google , the lifesaver ! )

Best Regards
Din.
