CDW is an ncurses and GTK2 based CD burning frontend for cdrecord & mkisofs.
Running on Linux console and GNOME desktop. Homepage at
http://cdw.linuxforge.hu/

The ncurses (console based) version is featured in the latest version of the
distro Damn Small Linux, 2.1, where it can be used to write CDs, if the main OS
is not booting, by booting DSL - ToRAM. I tried it, worked fine.

Cdrecord was present in most LiveCDs, but somehow I was not comfortable with
it. I was looking for a menu-driven CD writing SW in a small LiveCD so that it
can be used easily for data rescue purposes even by newbies. CDW (along with
DSL 2.1) fits the need.
