[Mailinglist] setting Malayalam keymap transliterating editor

Hello All,
I am from Muvattupuzha and  an avid lover of GNU/Linux OS and FLOSS,I
need to set keymap(MAL) such a way that I need a keymap which allows me
to type in english the "Malyalam" or "Tamil" words as eg;Namaskaram in
english translated to ????????? or ????????  or ??????  hope you get me
and pls help me set it step by step If u can..
