After the meeting held on saturday which 5 people attended we were able to draw a rough plan on organizing the event, we discussed about the activities planned , arranging the hardware and other resources and also about preparing pamphlets and posters. We are need of some more resources apart from the ones already available 1. One 20/40 GB Hard Disk 2. Two PS/2 Keyboards 3. Two PS/2 Mice 4. One 500VA UPS 5. A 17" Monitor 6. AMD Athlon / Pentium 4 equivalent machine. Those who are willing to provide the above hardware, please contact me soon Also we are looking for people who can travel around to do some advertising regarding our stall .The advertising will be done in a small way since our budgets are tight. We plan to put up notices and posters regarding our events, in relevant places like inside - Book shops - Internet cafes - hardware shops - Colleges / training centers and institutions. As mentioned in the above mail, we still haven't found people who can handle seminars or give a talk on FLOSS related subjects. I expect a couple of you will turn up after this mail. I call out to all the young enthusiastic Free software supporters who are students to come forward to extend your support for this noble event. It will indeed be an excellent opportunity to lend support and to showcase your skills. We have the next meeting scheduled on Wednesday, 22-11-2006, 6pm at the regular Ilug meeting venue those who are able to make it please do it without fail.
