hi im using ethernet connection now
but for the case of networking i think i have to buy one more network card
if they provide usb driver then it should have been easy

for the cable modem they lend
 
 i think the modem vendor is motorola
 
 and im amased that they are not even interested to provide a linux usb driver  
in fact they provide windows driver
