hi, There is a better one .. its GTK-RECORDMYDESKTOP and can b installed by
SUDO APT-GET INSTALL GTK-RECORDMYDESKTOP RECORDMYDESKTOP xvidcap can only grab the parts of the screen within that red bordered rectangle..and that's all one wants at times.. But gtk-recordmydesktop grabs screen in full and records it in ogg-Theora format..Strangely in my computer gtk-recordmydesktop is smooth..but xvidcap is really heavy and when xvidcap starts up ..rest of stuff goes on slowmo.. just my thoughts.. regards, vikhr akula Quoting Sreenadh H <sreenadh1987 at gmail.com>: > Hi all, > > > Here is a wonderful screen capture tool, "xvidcap".
