Hi *, In the light of the recent DNS cache poisoning vulnerability that is being hotly debated among security experts, here's a simple method to prevent it.
http://www.linuxhaxor.net/2008/08/04/don%e2%80%99t-be-a-victim-of-dns-security-holes/ Please do check your DNS server from Dan Kaminsky's (_the_ guy who discovered the vulnerability -- the hero of this year's DefCon 16 annual hacker conference) site. "Check My DNS button" at http://www.doxpara.com/?p=1176 I use OpenDNS, and I am happy with it. Althought OpenDNS dosen't guarentee you protection, its safer. You might need to do your _own_ tweaking to guarantee you further protection. No worries, Mahesh Aravind Mundus vult decipi, ergo decipiatur! ----- http://maravind.blogspot.com/ _______________________________________________ Mailinglist mailing list [email protected] http://ilug-cochin.org/mailman/listinfo/mailinglist_ilug-cochin.org
