gnash and swfdec are two Free Software implementations of adobe flash
player. I use gnash and it works with most of the flash videos on the
web including youtube, blip.tv and many other video streaming
services.

I compile gnash from the bzr repository so I don't know the status of
gnash shipped with the distro. If I remember correctly 0.84 could play
youtube.
