The support from the free software community , especially *ILUG
Kochi* , was the secret of the success behind Swathanthra Software Sangamam
held in VHSS Irimpanam.The first student community ever in Kerala was formed
in the school as a part of it . Details of its(Swathanthra Software
Koottayma) first meeting is given below.

Technical Presentation by Students on Malayalam Computing (History of
Malayalam Computing in brief, Dhvani- Malayalam text to speech
engine,Malayalam ,English Malayalam dictionary,Matrix malayalam screen
saver, Malayalam typing made easy with inscript , advantages of inscript and
the logic of inscript keyboard layout etc.)
Technical Presentation by Thomas Yoyak (Teacher , Coordinator, Swathanthra
Software Koottayma) on GIMP
Interaction among students,Ilug members and teachers
We expect support from the community members in every respect and it is
essential fo the existence of this "too young" group. Your presence in the
meeting will be a great support to us.And if you share something with the
students and will be reflected in the next generation.....Thanks in advance.
