*A* couple of days before, when I was presenting my Project officially
on stage,
as a freedom talker, free-software user & as my project is completely done
using
free-software, I mentioned the benefits of freedom in software field &
explained
some stubborn free-software counterparts to proprietary software.
Actually I was exploding. Might be because me being over confident on
the topic
I was actually dealing with.
I started talking about PHP , compared it wit its .net counterparts &
pretty soon, I
just jumped in to boost PHP over.NET & started criticizing .NET. I guess you
could
assume what I might be talking about at that point.. 1)Platform
independent...
2)performance... 3)availability of a bunch of light weighted IDE's....
So far I just remained unquestioned BUT 4) PHP5 is purely Object
Oriented(OOPS)..
Ooopz...... I shouldn't have told that (At least I thought I shouldn't have
mentioned PURELY..)
I was DOOMED there after. U know *Y*...? * COZ.... PHP isn't purely OOPS
based..*
>From there onwards, just because of my unreasonable & criticizable over
confidence I was
beaten out with these irreplaceable points.
1) .Net framework could be coupled along with purely object oriented
scripting languages like
C#, J#, VB, VC, VC++ etc..
2) The output of all will be the same
3) There are a lot of choices for choosing your scripting language. You R
not forced to use
C# or ASP or J# ... U can choose any...
4) Though PHP doesn't need a separate framework, it stricts into itself
without any options being provided.
5) PHP is not a purely object oriented scripting language. Yet U R forced to
script using PHP if U use PHP.
6) PHP doesn't support multiple or hybrid inheritance..

But I'm never disappointed coz.. I'm sure that PHP can beat all its .net
counterparts with a lot more reasonable
& valuable points than they pointed out to claim .net to be much better than
PHP & I did prove it..
But I'm really disappointed in the type of points they made, which actually
beat PHP down & zipped my lips atleast
for a some while...
