I have used yasr an year ago, in my Debian. It's a great tool for
console users. For graphics, I have tried Orca Screen Reader. I think
all graphics screen readers are having the same problems. Somebody
still have to assist the user. But if you are a console user, like me,
yasr is a great tool and I was able to do my computing without turning
on the screen.

I'm having a GNU+Linux distribution called Vinux. It is a Live CD. It
is a distribution for Visually Impaired people (as the name says
VI-nux). yasr and Orca are enabled and configured in it by default. I
can give you the CD and if possible assist him.

Thanks,
Jos Collin
