Hey guys, whats all the fuss about? The original discussion was about how to port an application using Wine. >From WineHQ's <http://www.winehq.org/about/> homepage: "Wine will always be free software <http://wiki.winehq.org/Licensing>. Approximately half of Wine's source code is written by volunteers." So Wine IS A FREE SOFTWARE.
These people are clever. They have even thought that arguments like this - similar to those in this mailing-list - might happen. So they have written http://wiki.winehq.org/ImportanceOfWine . Let me quote the very first sentence - "A lot of people in popular discussion forums keep thinking that Wine is "the last thing that Linux needs" or that it is "not important". We are listing some info here that is supposed to thoroughly defeat these and other claims.
