The basic idea of democratic centralism is to discuss and arrive at
decisions democratically from the lower levels to the higher levels of
organisation. In the cold war situation, many of the decisions would
be initiated at much higher levels of organisation.

Obviously this and more is off topic.
Start from the actual distribution of wealth and income in India.
According to official Central Govt reports over 78% of the people earn
less than Rs 20 a day. The games on the poverty line is well known.
On the corporate-politics-press nexus, we have plenty of reports.

See Sainath's very recent articles and talk on the media ... though
it has always been known.

> Please backup your above statements with facts from neutral sources.

This idea of 'neutral' is the creation of right-wing media apparently.

Wikipedia is never neutral on politics and is never reliable on the
subject. On philosophy it is often sloppy.

Their policies are problematic

A more reliable way of studying politics is through original biased sources.

You will find a small amount of material (plenty of Trotskyist stuff)
at www.marxists.org
A better discussion list would be the ones at univ of utah or the
yahoo group - pragoti
foil is another list with more of the anarchist kinds of Left.

What we can discuss on this list is the 'neutrality' and reliability
of the information in the wikipedia
