Dear All, I need help on configuring Tomcat server.
Major content of a homepage for an NGO will be hosted at hostdime.in(Apache) with a domain id. Some portion of the site require content served through Tomcat. Initially, I tried webfaction with a basic account and tomcat took 723 MB to start. The application then require at least 2 GB of RAM, for which it costs USD 80 per month. Hence decided on Plan B, to host major content on hostdime, and serve tomcat content through a home server in desktop/laptop with a static ip. With a static ip, domain id and broadband i need to configure a tomcat server. Did a bit homework; installed ubuntu server 12.04 LTS, with tomcat6. Beyond that couldn't proceed further. Does anybody knew how to configure tomcat server, and to access the hosted content through www.? regards, Smart K.B., Dept.
