Hi all,

The Document Foundation has released LibreOffice 4.2 today, which "features a
large number of performance and interoperability
improvements targeted to users of all kinds, but particularly appealing
for power and enterprise users"

Following are the list of most crucial changes in the latest LibreOffice 4.2.
        1. Round-trip interoperability with Microsoft OOXML, especially for
DOCX and RTF, has enhanced noticeably.
        2. A new import filter added to Abiword documents and enhancement to
other import/export filters.
        3. Added a new engine for Calc for doing extensive parallel calculation
of formula cells using GPU via OpenCL.
        4. Added new Expert configuration window to Options tab.
        5. GNOME3 Application Menu integration and support for MATE and XFCE
Desktops.
        6. Included brand new set of icons named Sifr.
LibreOffice 4.2 Requirements
        1. Kernel 2.6 or higher version
        2. glibc 2.5 or higher version
        3. gtk version 2.10 or higher
        4. Minimum 256MB and recommended 512MB RAM
        5. 1.55GB available Hard disk space
