Hi All,

We had a very informative session on BTRFS file system, led by +Anu Bhaskar .

Here is the wikipedia link about BTRFS http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Btrfs

In essence, BuTteR File System :) is intended to address the lack of
pooling, snapshots, checksums, and integral multi-device spanning in Linux
file systems like Ext3, Ext4, XFS etc. Btrfs also has a number of the same
design ideas that ReiserFS and ZFS had. Because of these attractive
features BTRFS may become the file system of the future.

Important: BTRFS is still under development and not (yet) meant for
production use!

Around 10 people attended the meeting including +Jay Jacob +Sameer
Thahir +ananthanarayanan
iyer +Sreenadh H +Revath S Kumar and more....

As per our members decision, we planned to do one day workshop on March,
this will cover the technologies that we were discussed in the last year
meetings.

Cheers,
Danial José
