I have freed some disk space, 'stopped' Mailman with mailmanctl, and
swapping has receded. Now I have:
$ ls qfiles/in/ -1 | wc
100199 100199 5861674
And the only Mailman process doing alot of work is
619 mailman 12 0 29052 8500 1740 S 6.7 0.8 9:14 qrunner
/home/mailman/bin/qrunner --runner=OutgoingRunner:0:1 -s
