The Subject: header of auto-responses is fixed as:
Subject: Auto-response for your message to the "%(listname)" mailing list
I'd really like to be able to customize that. E.g.:
Subject: thanks for your submission
Or, with variable substitution:
Subject: thanks for your submission to %(listname)
Or even:
Subject: Re: %(old_subject_header_contents)
I don't think allow list owners to customize the format of the
Subject: header of auto-replies is unreasonable. I haven't studied
the code closely yet, but I don't think it would be that complicated,
either.
