Mailman is at its essence a library. One way to think of the code is as a Python package called 'Mailman' with various command line script wrappers providing interfaces for cgi, mail programs, cron, and shell access. I don't know if that answers your question, but it might help when thinking about whether Mailman can solve your problem. -Barry
