I managed to get postorius setup by using python 2.6 . Python 2.7 was causing all the trouble(don't know why?)
But as mentioned in the link : http://pythonhosted.org/mailman/src/mailman/docs/WebUIin5.html i need to go into dev_setup directory , but there is no such directory formed.
