I'm not a native German speaker - I know enough to see that the current text is closer to a literal translation of the English, but it could well be that the tone of the proposed version is closer to what a native speaker would use in this case.
Perhaps this is OT, but the original English text doesn't make it clear enough that the discriminating factor is the 'From' address. In my experience as admin or moderator of Mailman lists, at least half of the "post by a non member" mails are posts by a person who is a member of the list, sent from the wrong account. If the English original were updated to reflect this, it might result in more 'friendly-sounding' translations.
