As Mark writes, there may be a mismatch with POSTORIUS_TEMPLATE_BASE_URL. But a permissions problem need not be on the templates themselves. It can be directory search access for the 'mailman' user (often 'o-x' where the directory is owned by root) for one or more directories in the path to the template. > I was getting the ‘Cannot connect to SMTP server’ message in > mailman.log.
