I upgraded Mailman and Python running on a Solaris 8 64bit sparc system
and suffered such a degradation in performance, that after running for
less than 2 days and having over 6000 outstanding requests in the "queue"
I had to down grade.
Python upgraded from 1.5 to 2.1
Mailman upgraded from 2.0.1 to 2.0.4
Has anyone else experienced this? The performance had nothing to do with
MTA's, even trying to "list" all the members of a list ran extraordinarily
slow.
Our largest list has over 96,000 users. Which would probably explain why
it was slow before the upgrade, but wouldn't explain why it basically went
"on strike" after the upgrade.
