> I am just new with Mailman,

Then I hope you've paged through every single option on the mailing
list administration webpage so you know what's there. If you had,
you'd know the answer to this question:

> so please bear with me. My question is this: if
> someone is sending a message that requires approval, where is it set that
> the administrator of that list will get an email (immediately preferably)
> telling him/her that it is waiting for their approval/denial?

        General options

Should administrator get immediate notice of new requests, as
well as daily notices about collected ones?

Help text says:

        admin_immed_notify (general): Should administrator get
immediate notice of new requests, as well as daily notices
        about collected ones?

List admins are sent daily reminders of pending admin
approval requests, like subscriptions to a moderated list or
postings that are being held for one reason or another.
Setting this option causes notices to be sent immediately on
the arrival of new requests, as well.
