This is going to sound stupid, but, with Sendmail's new MSP configuration, I have been
unable to get sendmail + MailMan to work properly. I feel like I am in a catch-22
here:
o Configure Defaults.py to use SMTPDirect, and sendmail starts seeing email from list
(outgoing to queue members) as being 'from' the list member, and, hence, sendmail
denies it because it looks like spam (aka: the sender is not a local user)
o Configure Defaults.py to use Sendmail, although non-secure, it worked under 8.11.x
without any hitches. Now, using the MSP aspect of the latest sendmail, I get:

sendmail[13379]: NOQUEUE: SYSERR(mailman): can not write to queue directory
/var/spool/clientmqueue/ (RunAsGid=0, required=26): Permission denied

Ack.. this should be easy.. I've been handling sendmail for nearly 9 years, and it
seems like I am just missing something obvious here.. :) Obviously, I would like to
use SMTPDirect over 'Sendmail', so.. how can I get that to behave properly?

Any pointers or help would be MUCH appreciated.. My forehead is beginning to hurt from
banging it into the desk.

I'm not on the mailing list yet, so please send replies directly to me and CC the
list..
Thanks!
-Rich
