I am using RedHat Linux 7.1 and have updated to the latest versions. I am using 2.0.6 of Mailman, not the version that comes with RedHat 7.1
I had to add the 'mail' user to the 'mailman' group in order for the requests to be processed. I didn't see this anywhere in the documentation and it took me a little while to figure out the best approach. You might want to add that to the README.SENDMAIL file.
