Firstly my apologies for asking a question I am sure has been asked before but I couldn't see a way to view archives.
I have installed Mailman-2.0.11 on Mandrake Linux 7.2 and have attempted to follow the instructions. I have and one problem and a question. My question is what should I enter for the DEFAULT_URL. In my case my web server is sitting at port 7777 and I am wanting to know if DEFAULT_URL should equal "http://abc.com/mailman/"; or "http://abc.com:7777/mailman/"; My problem (and I am sure it is my problem, but am having a very dumb moment) When running newlist I get a perl script exception stating "host could not be found". Now I would have thought this would have been a pretty basic error and I confirmed that in the mm_cfg.py file I have entered the DEFAULT_HOST_NAME = "host.abc.com" I am also able to ping the hostname that I entered in this file so I am a bit lost and would appreciate some input.
