Larry, I think you are on to something; odd as it sounds, it is refused: [root@david mailman]# telnet 127.0.0.1 25 Trying 127.0.0.1... telnet: connect to address 127.0.0.1: Connection refused
now why do I say "odd"? because the other machines are using this one as a host to send mail, as am I logged onto it, but, mailman can't... so I am confused... I am running RH 7.3; I do not see immediately how to turn that on, but I will search.
