You would be correct. The aliases and aliases.db files should be owner and
group mailman. Mine look like this:
$ ls -l aliases*
- -rw-rw---- 1 mailman mailman 5.6k Mar 13 14:03 aliases
- -rw-rw-r-- 1 mailman mailman 12k Mar 13 14:03 aliases.db
- --
