ok, so i think i have found the/a problem email address:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]

when i try to delete it i get the following:
./remove_members overtons_html "[EMAIL PROTECTED]"
No such member: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

any ideas how to delete a bogus email like this?

How would one go about tracking this down?  i cannot really view the
list  with the list_member tool and the web access is far too slow to be
of use.
