After a lot of testing I am pretty sure this is a HotMail issue, but it seems to be keyed to something innocent in Mailman and maybe someone can give me a clue as to what and what to do about it (aside from getting everyone to get a real e-mail account.) Tests to AOL and roadrunner work fine.

Mailman 2.2.1
Python-2.2.2
RedHat 7.1
Ensim webhost, but installed outside the chrooted environment.

Two lists trying to send to [EMAIL PROTECTED]:

With the general discussion list messages sent by [EMAIL PROTECTED] go through, while message from [EMAIL PROTECTED] are not received. Both foo and foobar are on the same server as Mailman, and the same path is followed for mail from each.

With the announcement style messages from neither foo nor foobar get though.

All subscription notifications were received properly. Trying to change mailman setting to reproduce one lists problems on the other has not worked. Below are the final mail log entries for the three situations I've given:

Sent to discussion list by [EMAIL PROTECTED] - received by [EMAIL PROTECTED]:
Jun 26 11:52:01 svr01 sendmail[9505]: h5QGq0609503: to=<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, delay=00:00:00, xdelay=00:00:00, mailer=esmtp, pri=146535, relay=mx2.hotmail.com. [65.54.252.230], dsn=2.0.0, stat=Sent ( <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Queued mail for delivery)

Sent to discussion list by [EMAIL PROTECTED] - received by [EMAIL PROTECTED]:
Jun 26 11:34:19 svr01 sendmail[7132]: h5QGYD607130: to=<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, delay=00:00:06, xdelay=00:00:00, mailer=esmtp, pri=146494, relay=mx3.hotmail.com. [65.54.253.99], dsn=2.0.0, stat=Sent ( <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Queued mail for delivery)

Sent to announcement list by [EMAIL PROTECTED] - not received [EMAIL PROTECTED]:
Jun 25 22:39:55 svr01 sendmail[3603]: h5Q3dt603600: to=<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, delay=00:00:00, xdelay=00:00:00, mailer=esmtp, pri=87264, relay=mx3.hotmail.com. [65.54.253.99], dsn=2.0.0, stat=Sent ( <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Queued mail for delivery)

I am no expert on mail logs, but does this not show HotMail accepting all three messages? Any ideas?
