Hi all,

I need a way of allowing any user to run the create script but then, if they
can't supply the password, for the Create Request to workflow by email to
the administrator so they can confirm that they want the list created. Has
this been done? If not, would the modification be easy?

Background

I'm using mailman in a shared cpanel hosting environment where the install
is shared between many different users. These (non-root) users administer
their own domains from their accounts. Each domain has a userbase and the
admins want to the userbase to be able to create lists under their domain.

cPanel Build

8.0.0-EDGE 63

Problem:

If use list creators password = admin password then userbase needs to
know these domain owner password. But this would give too much access, as
those users would then be able to do other things in cpanel such as add
subdomains, create mail accounts.

If we use the "list creators password is separate" feature then all
domain owners on the shared box have to use the same password. But this
means that they (and indeed an of their users) would be able to create lists
on any domain.

I hope I have explained myself and that someone will be able to help me.

Many thanks,
   Martin
