Is there a way to manually add entries to the list archives by appending text to the mailbox spool file?
Yep, just add it in standard mbox format.
I noticed that the messages were being appended, but they aren't showing up on the webpage archives.
And then run
% ~mailman/bin/arch --wipe listname
where % is your command prompt, ~mailman is the mailman directory (possibly /usr/local/mailman) and listname is the name of the list you want to update.
