"Exploit-MIME.gen" does not sound like a virus, but like some exploit based on broken MIME-handling in some clients (MS Outlook / Outlook Express comes to mind ...). So quite probably sime code to handle MIME-attachments (to scan, strip, etc.) has triggered a false alert.
