in main.cf do you have:
alias_maps = hash:/etc/postfix/aliases hash:/usr/local/mailman/data/aliases

Yes, aliases.db is generated, and readable (chmod 777 - to be sure) and i put

alias_maps = hash:/etc/aliases, hash:/usr/local/mailman/data/aliases

(i think they have to be comma-seperated?)
