Check out FAQ 3.14 which is dedicated to resolving this problem. Mailman FAQ: http://www.python.org/cgi-bin/faqw-mm.py Sounds like (Mailman versions 2.0.x or lower) your cron daemon stopped running, or (Mailman versions 2.1.x or above) your mailman daemon is stopped.
