hello all, i have been using mailman 2.1.1 for more then six months without problems - however since two weeks in one of the lists that i host some messages from some of the users (including me) get posted multiple times (mostly two times and sometimes three times). this is very annoying and users start to complain about the problem... i have tried to track down the problem with no success. testing to send messages to another list on the same machine works fine. checking mailman's log directory - in the posts file i can see all the double messages having the same size, posted one after another - messages are identical and MessageID of the multiple messages is the same. platform is Solaris 7 x86, Sendmail 8.11.2 and Mailman 2.1.1 as mentioned earlier.
