Greetings I am running Red Hat 9 pretty much out of the box. I'm getting the email from the cron daemon:
/usr/bin/python: can't open file '/var/mailmain/cron/gate_news' A check of the permissions for this file indicates that there is no reason why this should be so. Moreover, this is not a process I explicitly added to cron. I get a lot of hits when I search the web for this error, but nobody seems to have exactly this problem. The FAQ doesn't mention anything. Can anybody suggest what the problem might be (it ain't the permissions) or what process is spawning the emails?
