Sharing e-mail over NFS is always troublesome. A better division of labour is to have the webserver/mailing list manager on one machine, and have it dump all its outbound mail on a mail-only server that is configured to handle that load well for a large mailing list.


Better yet, use a whole cluster of outbound machines.
