FYI for the list:

1. Downloaded Python 2.3 tgz.
2. Configured with alternate prefix (/usr/local/python2.3)
3. Built 2.3
4. Reconfigured mailman 2.1.5 with new python binary location.
5. Recompiled mailman.

Mailman was off during this procedure.

Seems to be working fine.
