Not surprising since normally there is a message in the 'error' log when a message is shunted. On the original question, have you looked at your list's Content filtering Section? I suggest that initially, filter_content should be 'No', and if 'Yes', filter action should be 'Reject' or 'Forward', not 'Discard' or 'Preserve'. Also regarding scrubbed attachments, normally attachments are only scrubbed from archives and digests, and when scrubbed, they are stored and replaced by a web link to the stored attachment.
