You can currently approve/discard held posts by email. If admin_immed_notify is Yes, the notification is a MIME message with three parts; a text/plain part containing the notice, a message/rfc822 part containing the original message and a message/rfc822 part containing something like ------------------------------------------------ Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Subject: confirm 99dfd3ff954d1b6b6a9af15004d2deaa457f5128 Sender: [EMAIL PROTECTED] From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] If you reply to this message, keeping the Subject: header intact, Mailman will discard the held message. Do this if the message is spam. If you reply to this message and include an Approved: header with the list password in it, the message will be approved for posting to the list. The Approved: header can also appear in the first line of the body of the reply. ------------------------------------------------- If you reply to that message part or send any message to the [EMAIL PROTECTED] address with the 'confirm xxxx' subject, the original message will be accepted or discarded depending on the presence or absence of the Approved: header/line in the reply. This is not the case currently for subscription approvals, but I will look into implementing that. >I hope there is a wish list that mailman developers will keep in mind, >as they further improve/enhance. The current 'wish list' is at <http://wiki.list.org/display/DEV/Mailman+2.2>. There is also a list at <http://www.list.org/todo.html> that contains "Provide an email interface to all administrative commands". -- Mark Sapiro <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B.
