I totally agree.  We'll get this into the next version.  Generally I  
only do this in response to a user request so I /want/ them to do the  
confirmation dance.  Still, I recognize this as an important use case.

(I tried to update the wiki, but I don't have access to my password  
while here at the Python conference and Firefox doesn't remember the  
right one ;).
