You can set up exim so it doesn't need aliases for Mailman. See <http://www.exim.org/howto/mailman21.html>. >I see this in /var/log/exim4/mainlog: > >2008-10-07 21:08:15 1KnQLP-0007aq-KE <= [EMAIL PROTECTED] U=some_user P=local >S=535 [EMAIL PROTECTED] >2008-10-07 21:08:16 1KnQLP-0007aq-KE => |/var/lib/mailman/mail/mailman post >mylist <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> R=system_aliases T=address_alias_pipe >2008-10-07 21:08:16 1KnQLP-0007aq-KE Completed >2008-10-07 21:09:49 1KnQMv-0007b3-Ig <= [EMAIL PROTECTED] U=some_user P=local >S=543 [EMAIL PROTECTED] >2008-10-07 21:09:50 1KnQMv-0007b3-Ig => |/var/lib/mailman/mail/mailman post >mylist <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> R=system_aliases T=address_alias_pipe >2008-10-07 21:09:50 1KnQMv-0007b3-Ig Completed > >but I receive nothing (even though I allow non-subscribers to post), >and nothing gets archived (even though I have that enabled.) > >Also, when I subscribe someone, they never get an email. The most likely explanation is you haven't started mailmanctl. See the FAQ at <http://wiki.list.org/x/A4E9>. >Doesn't mailman have any sort of logging ?
