Thanks Mark, that fixed the problem.

The pending.pck file had a date of Sep 2007 with a file size of zero.

And yes, I did change that list address. Always feel kind of queasyabout giving out that much info for one of my lists to a publicmailing list.

By the way, visiting the listinfo pages was not the problem. Onlysubscribing from them.

the confirmation data for other requests, but it's probably lost
anyway.

I note that I can go to the overview at
<http://ascls-lists.org/mailman/listinfo/> and to the listinfo for the
two public lists on that page without problem.
