This definitely appears to be a Postfix issue and not directly related
to Mailman. What do you see in /var/log/maillog?

You can get more debugging info from Mailman. See the FAQ at
<http://wiki.list.org/x/-IA9>, but this probably won't tell you any
more than you can learn from

  telnet localhost 25
