I'm not sure what you think the complications are, but see the FAQ at
<http://wiki.list.org/x/ZoCj>. This does not directly address your
situation, but it indicates a method you could use to generate the
required recipient maps file on the Mailman server and use rsync or
whatever to copy that or merge it with the mail relay's maps.
