Is this a cPanel host? if so, the FAQ article at
<https://wiki.list.org/x/4030641> may help. Also, if it is cPanel, the
MTA is exim and the recipient delimiter stuff is not an issue.

The Mailman installation has a file Mailman/mm_cfg.py
(/usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/mailman/Mailman/mm_cfg.py in cPanel).

This is the installation wide Mailman installation config file. All that
needs to be done is add the one line

VERP_CONFIRMATIONS = Yes

to the end of that file. If the host won't do this, their competence to
offer Mailman is questionable and you may wish to consider an
alternative for your list host.
