I've been inspired by something I read somewhere else. I have long thought that mailing lists should be configured to reject messages with a Subject of "Re: [the subject format for the list's digest messages]". Maybe a scan of the message content for a copy of the digest prologue would be a good idea as well.
and now I want to implement something like this. Will this generic Spam filter work: Subject: Re: \[.*\] .* Digest, Vol [0-9]+, Issue [0-9]+ Tia, -Jim P. ------------------------------------------------------ Mailman-Users mailing list Mailman-Users@python.org https://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/mailman-users Mailman FAQ: http://wiki.list.org/x/AgA3 Security Policy: http://wiki.list.org/x/QIA9 Searchable Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/mailman-users%40python.org/ Unsubscribe: https://mail.python.org/mailman/options/mailman-users/archive%40jab.org
